Nice park to visit especially with kids. plenty of sporting activities for the children. We went in the end of winter, however it would be nice in the summer and fall. Lots of trees both from deciduous and coniferous. Nice cafe where you can get warm coffee and icecream.. plenty of spaces to walk and hiking trail is present there. there is a picnic spot and you can bring your food and enjoy lunch in a shiny day. ..................
A regular visit to this Park is a must. A great walk and maintained well. Walking the area, feeding the ducks, geese and EVIL swans is a mini adventure. Events happen regularly, Easter train was good with the kids searching for the Easter bunny.

Attended the Aintree Tuesday meeting, we were in the Silks resteraunt and had a great view of the course. It cost £40 each and we got soup and chicken along with entry and a race card, it was excellent value and all the staff we were involved with were super. We have been regulars at Sedgy for a few years now and love going racing there, we are always impressed with how the staff treat their customers.
Visited the Gents Aintree Day on April 13th 2018. The meeting was declared on after a couple of early morning inspections as it had been very wet in the North East and the going was very heavy. Had a fantastic time with my son who pronounced the latte was better than he got at a major high street coffee chain who shall remain nameless. Also had fish & chips and a drink at the bar which were great. Topped of by three winners and a place over the 7 races, so the day paid for itself. Added bonus of live racing from Aintree on the big screen. Will definitely be back later on in the year and hopefully less muddy next time.
