Very pleasant, lovely walks, ducks of various variety and a magnificent solitary heron, excellent play area & a nice cafe. You have to pay for disability parking which I'm often on the fence about ie disability parking is designed for ease of access not free parking but I rankle a little when I wonder if yet again motorists being hit in the pocket as yet another "cash cow" for local councils...... if in this instance the money is ring fenced and goes to the upkeep of the park and its amenities I can live with paying😊

Lovely little park. With walks, play park and duck feeding. You can buy little tiny bags of feed for 50p. But I usually pop into wilkos before we go and buy a 2kg bag of bird feed for £1.50. Cafe is nice, and plenty of parking woth over flow at the back.

What a lovely walk! We took the kids for an evening walk and ended up being here for over 3 hours! Fantastic scenery and plenty to keep the kids entertained. We made a note to return for a walk with just me and my partner as the atmosphere is very romantic. Set in a lovey forest with old bridges and ruins and Hardwick hall in the background. A lovely pond with various species of ducks and geese the kids especially loved all the ducklings and the swans. They have a great kids area with a mud kitchen and a play area to with fun learning and interactive games. You do pay for parking but it’s not too bad and well worth it.

OK if you have 2 hours to pass. Kids play area isn't great but there's a separate area for really young children which is good. It's good for a stroll round the lake with a possibility for a nice picnic
